Georges Méliès, French director of A Trip to the Moon (1902) was also a stage illusionist who did much to establish early ideas about 'tricks' and special effects in film. Learn a bit about him.

You're going to make a short piece of film exemplifying some of the  techniques in this video. The film will be about one character who is trying to hide something from another.
